The Real Reason the U.S. Gov Subsidizes Atheism

By Jason Charles on 11/29/2017 (6 years 142 days ago) Atheism/Secularism

In the U.S. Constitution the First Amendment states,

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.“

Note the opening first line, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.”  This would indicate that the U.S. government in no way, shape or form can fund, adopt, support, or benefit any type of belief system or religion. That it literally can’t even make a law that pertains to religions and “belief” systems, thus effectively nullifying government support or destruction of any ideology.

“Belief” is the operating word, a religion is a strongly held belief. The word “belief” is the common thread that glues the word religion, theism, atheism together. Theism and atheism by definition are religious beliefs. The belief, in “no god” is qualified by the word belief seeing no man can prove the existence or non-existence of God as a universal fact.

Theism: Belief in the existence of a god or gods, especially belief in one god as creator of the universe, intervening in it and sustaining a personal relation to his creatures.

Atheism: Disbelief or lack of belief in the existence of God or gods.

Definitions came from Google dictionary and the emphasis is my own,

It is the word “belief” that affixes religious context to both the viewpoint of Theism and Atheism equally, and thus government should not be promoting either a belief in God, nor the belief in no God per the Constitution. Both form the basis of a worldview “belief” systems that radically draw upon different conclusions and evidences to support their position.

For government to become supportive of one belief or another automatically guarantees the persecution of the losing side. Something contrary to liberty, and thus opposed in law by our Constitution. We must realize that both of these viewpoints can become destructive and tyrannical when embodied in the state. This is why the founders included the clause in the Constitution expressly forbidding such support for religious thought one way or another.

But guess what, the government has routinely entwined itself with these systems of belief. Let’s first look at the obvious example of the church and government, and then let’s look at the support of atheism by the state.

Obvious Religious Violations of State Support

Most recognize that 501c3 Non-profit churches benefit from tax exemption under the IRS code. Something I am adamantly opposed of because government interference always corrupts the mission of the church. Since 1954 the Johnson Amendment has effectively neutralized the office of the pastor as God’s prophet by limiting political speech in the pulpit.

“The Johnson Amendment is a provision in the U.S. tax code, since 1954, that prohibits all 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations from endorsing or opposing political candidates.” (Wikipedia)

The 501c3 code is legislation that penalizes churches for dabbling in politics, and thus God’s prophets in the pulpits skirt political issues every Sunday in an effort to stay tax free. This is a bribe to silence the church as a whole, a deal the cowardly pastors go along with seemingly indefinitely no matter how outrageously evil our government becomes. We see here how the benefits of 501c3 is actually a control mechanism to reduce the influence pastors will have among the people and also among government. This is actually an example of government suppressing one religion instead of aiding it, in much the same way a cow is fattened for slaughter.

This is a perfect example as to why the founders limited legislative action on matters of religion.

Secularists who can't see the wicked, strategic value of limiting the speech of the church, argue that we can add $71 Billion in tax dollars to the tax base a year by simply taxing the churches alone,

“The Secular Coalition for America wants the Internal Revenue Service to revoke the tax-exempt status of religious organizations that violate 501(c)(3) rules by, for example, promoting political candidates or not using their funds for charitable purposes.

The coalition estimates that stringent enforcement of 501(c)(3) could generate up to $16.75 billion in additional annual revenue - almost enough to fund NASA for a year. Less conservative estimates, including an academic paper that pondered the fiscal implications of taxing all churches like for-profit corporations, put that number at $71 billion - enough to send a Mars Rover into space almost every two weeks.” (Newsweek)

You think to yourself WOW! $71 Billion that is an amazing amount, but see where they would re-allocate that money, to NASA. An organization dedicated to promoting a naturalist, evolutionary worldview. Isn’t that funny, secularists want more tax money to promote more evolutionary atheistic models of our origins. In fact, they want the church to actually pay in tax dollars for the promotion of an ideology that runs completely counter to their own religious teachings.

That’s some hypocrisy on its face. Now let’s consider how much government entities benefit science and educational departments that promote an atheistic, humanist worldview.

The Hypocrisy of Atheism and Its State Supported Religion

The left never takes into account how much tax payer money goes to organizations and departments within the Federal Government overtly operating within and teaching an atheistic worldview.

And yes atheists, the U.S. government classifies Atheism as a religion under the U.S. tax code, to the chagrin of many,

“The leader of an atheist group reportedly is incensed that the U.S. government has granted it a tax exemption, citing allowances for religious organizations — and she’s even angrier at learning that she’s considered a minister under the Internal Revenue Service code.

“We are not ministers,” said Annie Laurie Gaylor, who heads the Freedom from Religion Foundation in The Blaze. She added: The organization doesn’t want the tax exemption if it’s based on codes granting allowances to religious groups.” (Washington Times)

Hilariously ironic to think the tax-man is the final determination of the status of a religious belief system in this country; and according to the IRS atheism is a religious system of belief. Anyone could have told you that, but Atheists love to pretend they are not operating under a faith-based system. I think it makes them feel superior or something to have a lack of faith, but in reality, the advantage is in their own heads seeing the law doesn't’t even believe that to be so.

Now there are four major departments that are funded with an atheistic worldview in mind.

    The Department of Education
If you walk into any public school, on any block, in any state, you will find text books teaching evolution as fact. The ED has a $68 billion annual budget,

The Department of Education is administered by the United States Secretary of Education. It has approximately 4,400 employees and an annual budget of $68 billion (2016). The agency's official abbreviation is "ED", because "DOE" instead refers to the United States Department of Energy. (Wikipedia)

    NASA
An organization that reports directly to the President frames everything it does in a standard model, big-bang cosmology atheistic worldview has a $19.5 billion annual budget,

    “US$ 19.5 billion (Fiscal Year 2017” (Wikipedia)

    The NSF
A government foundation that funds science that exclusively frames their work in an evolutionary model and worldviews has a $7.7 billion annual budget

“NSF's FY 2016 Budget Request is $7.724 billion, an increase of $379.34 million (5.2 percent) over the FY 2015 Estimate.” (nsf.gov)

You can see that the U.S. government by a great margin subsidizes the atheistic religion far more than it supports anything of a pro-God, pro-creation bent.

So now we get to the real reason as to why so much money is funneled to education programs and scientific programs that frame all of their findings in an evolutionary, naturalistic model.

    Conclusion

The real reason the U.S. government, or any government starts to promote a worldview over another is because it feels the necessity of having an official worldview that can adequately rationalize all of the evils it intends to do. Let’s face it atheism is strongly subsidized and promoted because it provides the rational for unfettered war abroad. The survival of the fittest is the motto of empires.

This brings us the fourth department, the Pentagon and the Department of Defense. A department boasting a half trillion annual dollar budget. To justify the use of this much spending in military equipment and adventurism aboard, you need to discard all moral arguments against its use.

“For FY 2017, President Obama proposed the base budget of $523.9 billion, which includes an increase of $2.2 billion over the FY 2016 enacted budget of $521.7 billion.” (Wikipedia)

The evolutionary model provides a worldview that promotes a bully mentality on the world stage. Only the strong survive. Atheism has no core principles or ethics, everything is relative including laws in an atheist world view. That government is god and the final authority on everything, there is no higher authority outside of government, so might equals right in the mind of an atheist.

This is why governments always support and tends towards the atheistic worldview, it provides the justifications for government evils. The indoctrination of the people in the Atheist religion is critical for the U.S. government and thus why it is subsidized so heavily in the public school systems and the university systems. They can’t have anyone questioning government militarism and evils on moral grounds. The Christian faith explicitly forbids all of government evils, while atheism sanctions it.

The Bible forbids stealing and the coveting of foreign lands and resources (Proverbs 6:16-19)
The Bible forbids usury and fiat currency (Exodus 22:25)
The Bible forbids the use of lying propaganda (Jeremiah 14:14-16)
The Bible forbids the promotion of immorality (Isaiah 1:4)
The Bible forbids the welfare state (2 Thessalonians 3:10)

So, when atheists drag people into court for religious displays, or sue them for their stance on Gay Marriage they are simply working towards furthering the atheism religion already heavily entrenched in the U.S. government.

The promotion of atheism inside the public school systems has nothing to do with science but everything to do with providing a worldview that justifies the evils we seen in both government and society. Science is just the provider of a religious framework that develops the weapons and provides the anti-God worldview to use them without moral restraint. Atheist literally "believe" that people of faith are an impedance to scientific progress and need to be destroyed.

Remember this when you hear secularists decrying the Christian religion, and its influence in government. The real state religion in the U.S. is the religion of atheism, the evils are their own. The U.S. is acting in accordance to its state religion when warring and stealing abroad.

This is also why liberals are so quick to embrace socialism and why they hate the Constitution. They are working to dismantle any and all remnants of our Christian heritage and the government based on natural law principles it provided us in the way of the Constitution. The fact that our founding documents acknowledge God infuriates them and they want those documents stricken from human memory. They truly do not know what they are bringing on themselves when they eradicate the grounds for law, morality, right and wrong, and accountability to the Highest Power that of God Himself. If government is only accountable to themselves, then we will have institutionalized evil without question. Please Sign-up for our Newsletter and Like us on Facebook, for updates.

The Bible says atheism is foolish, and that is what we have become allowing for the indoctrination of atheism among the people, a nation of fools, that couldn't’t recognize what is right if their lives depended on it.

“…The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.” Psalm 14:1

The U.S. government and people are anti-God, have corrupted themselves and indeed have done abominable works because of their allowance of state sanctioned atheism. Little wonder we look and act like any of the communist states of decades past, it is a manifestation of the state religion of atheism and the suppression of Biblical Theism.

    You Too Can Be Saved

Salvation is submission to the authority of our Creator God. To be saved simply call upon the name of Jesus. Ask Him to lead, guide and direct you to a full knowledge of who He is, and who you are in Him.
