'American Sniper' is Turning Christians into the New Crusaders, See How a New Film Called 'Christ Alone' is the Theological Antidote to Rabid Christian Warmongering
The new movie 'American Sniper' is well on its way to grossing over $300 million dollars as it continues to set records all across the nation. The vast majority of those who have supported this biographical film featuring the life of NAVY SEAL sniper Chris Kyle are Christian conservatives according to a recent Associated Press article,
" Certainly, the huge wide-release opening wouldn’t have been possible without the strong support of a seldom-catered-to demographic: conservatives. Dan Fellman, head of domestic distribution for Warner Bros., called conservatives’ embrace of the film “huge,” noting it’s an audience difficult to court."
In the film he is painted as a soft-spoken, no-nonsense, family man that would do anything to protect his family, country and the men who fought besides him. The real Chris Kyle is much different than the movie depicts. He has been proven to be a braggadocios liar in court by former Governor Jesse Venture who he slandered in his book and on national television stating he "punched out" the Governor for bad mouthing the Navy Seals. This contrast between the movie version of Chris Kyle and the real life version has sparked a massive amount of controversy and mudslinging between conservative supporters and Hollywood leftists like Bill Mahr, Michael Moore, Seth Rogan and others.
What is worse than the mudslinging is this film has ignited a new firestorm of anti-Muslim hate among Christian conservatives. These Christian conservatives endlessly parrot the ideology and theology that Kyle has now immortalized.To quote Kyle's book he states,
“Savage, despicable evil. That’s what we were fighting in Iraq. That’s why a lot of people, myself included, called the enemy ‘savages’…. I only wish I had killed more.”
The question so many Christian and secular people alike ask, is how can people who have espoused the peaceful teachings of Jesus Christ and a Christian worldview get caught up in such bloodlust and hate? It is a question that has plagued the church for hundreds of years and goes all the way back to the Knights Templar. The Templar Crusades against the Muslims in the Holy Lands persisted over the course of 200 years starting in 1095 AD under Pope Urban II and the Catholic church. Coincidentally this crusader mentality is exactly the kind of Christian teaching Chris Kyle aligned himself with to the point of incorporating Templar imagery into his mercenary company Craft's logo. This logo was painted on the vehicles in the 'American Sniper' movie. You can read about the logo on the company's website and it states,
"...his fellow teammates painted similar skulls on their gear in order to strike fear in the enemy. The crosshair symbolizes his time spent on a sniper rifle and is also in the form of a templar cross to symbolize his faith."
Yes, you read that right, "...the Templar cross to symbolize his faith." So is it really that easy to twist scripture and Biblical theology to include a bigoted hate and a war mongering attitude against non-Christian peoples, and how is this being accomplished here in America? The simple answer is yes it is, but the how and why is much more complicated to address seeing that it gets into the minutia of Christian theology. A broad overview of how this theology has come to dominate Christian conservative thinking can quickly be titled and researched for more understanding under the heading of "Christian Zionism(VIDEO)" and "Dominion Theology." This theology is a false doctrine. It wrongly teaches that Christians must support Israel no matter what seeing that Israel's return in 1948 is the fulfillment of prophecy.
It is important to note that the fulfillment of prophecy does not denote carte blanche support of something but rather is a sign as to where God is on His timeline. The Christians that have been suckered into this line of thinking assume three things. A) That they can help advance God's timeline of End Time events via their support for War and the defense of Israel. B) That God will curse any nation that doesn't support Israel(VIDEO), and C) That Jesus in the End Times will rule from Jerusalem and bring all nations under His universal authority. All three of these assumptions can be put to rest in a verse quoting Jesus himself,
"Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. - John 16:36"
Just like that, the basis for this rabid hate for Muslims and their undying allegiance for Israel should fall away based on the words of Christ himself. Christ's Kingdom is not of this world it is a spiritual Kingdom, and no servant of his should be physically fighting for it, Chris Kyle included. Christ never commanded the killing of non-believers.
The fact of the matter is that this twisted view of prophecy and end time eschatology that has embedded itself into American Christianity is profitable to the military industrial complex. It aids in the recruitment and perpetual war fever among conservatives. This group is known as the Family or the Christian Mafia in political circles.

Just recently Dr. Baldwin has come under fire from many of these crusader Christians for his outspoken views on the film 'American Sniper' as war propaganda. He has addressed it at the pulpit in a sermon(VIDEO) and also on his Facebook page where hundreds of hate filled Christians have criticized him for his review of the film 'American Sniper.'
'Christ Alone' is a full featured film that lays out the proper Biblical roles and duties of mankind, the family, the church, society and government. Each institution acts as a check and balance on the evil inherent in man's heart. The film then goes on to show how each one of these institutions are being radically dismantled via elites in order to bring about a New World Order technocratic system.
The film address every pertinent topic and can be a powerful tool to help Christians understand how their support for war is aiding this New World Order agenda.
No matter what your own personal ideology is, whether secular or Christian, the goal of correcting Christian war mongering via dismantling the false teachings at their source should be seen as a strategic imperative among liberty minded people. The Christian demographic is in the millions with 83% of the American population stating they are Christian in belief.
Just think what would happen if liberty minded people can make a concerted effort to get this film into the hands of Christians and Pastors all over the nation. It could mean a huge blow against the false ideology that allows for constant war mongering in this country by Christians.
War is destructive to our men and women, the family, the church, all of society and most especially has a corrupting influence on our government. War propaganda like 'American Sniper' must be addressed. Please support the filmmaker of 'Christ Alone' and pastors like Dr. Chuck Baldwin in their quest to rid the ideology that perpetuates war support in the church by getting these materials into the hands of Christians. You won't get them to stop having faith in God but together unified in effort we can perhaps get them to see how damaging the wartime fervor has become to our liberties, our families, church, society and Government. With Christians you have to be able to speak their language, and this film does exactly that.
