For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places

The US government condemns the recent terrorist attacks in southeastern Iran while it knew about such kinds of operations in advance and sponsored them, an analyst says.

Jeff Steinberg from Executive Intelligence Review referred to the condemnation of the incident by US President Barack Obama saying “presidents publically lie and make statements that are diplomatically appropriate but knowing that they are protecting and covering covert operations.”

The involvement of Iranian ethnic groups, especially Baluchis, in the acts of terrorism and sabotage have been officially on the US-Israel joint agenda since 2007, Steinberg said in his interview with Press TV on Wednesday.

“If indeed, this is all or in part a US intelligence operation, then President Obama is well aware of that,” he further explained.

“He would have had to basically approve of the continuation of the presidential finding signed by [former US] President George W. Bush, if he saw this story was accurate on his account,” Steinberg added.

At least 33 Ashura mourners, including women and children, have been killed and 95 others left injured in a terrorist attack in southeastern Iranian city of Chabahar.

The attack occurred at the Imam Hussein mosque in Chabahar on Wednesday when Iranians were attending a religious Tasua ceremony.

Anti-Iran terrorist group Jundallah has claimed responsibility for the attack. The group obtained explosive belts from Saudi Arabia, Press TV has learned.
